What do you need to buy?

Quantities are added up. Tick only the items you're missing.

How to make it

  1. Heat the oven to 185°C. Mash the already boiled potato. Chop the raw salmon very finely and check carefully for any bones left.
  2. Mix the salmon with the mashed potato and grated courgette. Shape small, slightly flattened meatballs so they cook evenly.
  3. Place them on lightly greased baking paper and bake them for about 15–20 minutes, until they are cooked through and the salmon reaches 63°C in the centre.
  4. Let them cool down and offer soft pieces suited to your child's chewing.

From about 9 months. From about 9 months, and only once your child already manages soft pieces and can chew. For a younger child, choose fish well flaked into a purée rather than meatballs offered as finger food. The quantity makes several small meatballs, not a single portion. The time assumes the potato is already boiled. For children who are just learning to chew, break the meatballs into very soft, moist pieces. Fish is an allergen: when you introduce it for the first time, offer a small amount and watch how your child tolerates it. Serve your child sitting upright, supervised, with no added salt. Allergens to check: fish.
